Empanadas!

Hi all,

Was just wondering if there's a place in the GTA where I can purchase frozen empanada pastry disks? Or, if all else fails on my cooking abilities (*sob sob*), where would I be able to purchase frozen empanadas that I can bake in the oven? Thanks in advance!

I have seen frozen empanadas (not disks) at Whole Foods in Yorkville so you might want to try the Whole Foods in Oakville. I have not tasted them though.

You can buy the frozen pastry disks at Perola in Kensington. The are in the freezer to the right of the cash register. They are not bad, not as good as the pastry at Jumbo Empanadas but I always use them, being not brave enough to try and make them.

I've purchased fresh empanadas at Jumbo Empanadas in Kensington Market (245 Augusta) and have frozen them myself. To reheat just throw the frozen empanadas in a 350F oven for about 25 mins. I've purchased frozen empanadas at Sun Valley Foods in the past (528 Danforth)
