Lunch near Eddy Street in Providence

I'm taking my daughter out to lunch tomorrow, and need somewhere near where she works. I was thinking of Olga's. Any other new places to try closer, or in the vicinity?. I googled restaurants in the area, and it looks like there are a lot of Latino places. Any recommendations?

CAV would be a lovely place to have lunch with your daughter, and it's right around the corner from there. www.cavrestaurant.com. Contemporary American, in a beautiful little restaurant with lots of fun, eclectic items that are even for sale.

I'd second CAV, unless you're under the gun for time and just need a sandwich shop. Olga's food is very good, and in summer the outdoor area is just beautiful....but the rushed feel of the line and the attitude of the servers always makes it a less-than-pleasant experience.

Rue-Bis is on 16 Bassett St nearby and I've always wanted to try it. Has anyone been?

Remember that all the restaurants on Wickenden St. are right over the Point St bridge.

Rue bis is a great suggestion. It is small, unpretentious and sparse but the concise menu is really good.

I forgot about that place! I thought it was downtown so I didn't give it much thought (I work in the west end and can't be bothered w/downtown parking hassles for lunch). This looks adorable and I'll definitely be trying it soon:
