Is there any place in Chicagoland where I can find chicken fried steak other than Dixie Kitchen, Chili's, and Texas Roadhhouse? What are some BBQ joints that offer it?

When I lived in the city, I would spend an afternoon at the beach and then ride my bike over to Stanley's Kitchen and Tap on the corner of Lincoln and Armitage. They had a great Chicken Fried Steak and their mashed potatoes were some of the best. I lived in Atlanta for 10 years and had acquired a taste for Chicken Fried Steak. Stanley's is at 1970 N. Lincoln Ave in Lincoln Park. More of a college bar/restaurant so it's not pricey.

This is in the past tense because it has been a few years since I have been there.

You can try that, I do not know if they have a menu ahead of time.

Heaven on Seven would probably serve Chicken Fried Steak.

You can try Kitschn'n on Roscoe. I know they have Fried Chicken and Waffles.

Heaven on Seven does indeed serve a pretty good chicken fried steak (speaking only for the Garland building location, never had it at the others).

The other one is good too (Wabash and Ohio).

My husband had this at the HOS in Naperville and loved it. It was almost bigger then the plate!
