Jazz bar? Or live music bar?

DoggieMama Mar 7, 2008 09:01 AM

Any suggestions for a bar that serves food but doesn't require you to sit for dinner and has live music on Saturday nights? Needs to be T-accessible but neighborhood doesn't matter. Thanks!

Go see the Workingman's Jazz Band @ Colonial Inn in Concord--no cover charge. Upscale, the Oak Room in Copley good music venue.

Lizard Lounge is fun, but they really aren't a true jazz club, and have more rock/indie music than anything. Looking over their calendar over the next couple of months, I don't see a single jazz group booked for a Saturday night. If you want guaranteed jazz, I would stick to one of the other great suggestions.

Les Zygomates (near South Station in Leather District) has great jazz and you do not have to sit for dinner but if you do want dinner that is a great place to be, especially if you like wine.
