Late Night Eats in Culver City - Near the Helms District?

i'm heading out to a wine tasting at HD Buttercup tonight and was wondering what options i have for a late dinner @ 10pm in the helms furniture district or within walking distance.

the two restaurants that i looked into at the helms district were:

- beacon, but they close at 10pm
- la dijonaise, but they close at 9pm

i do have a ressie at fraiche but i don't think they are within walking distance so fraiche is my back up just in case.

not picky about food but would like a decent atmosphere with good eats.

thanks everyone!

Still not quite open according to the latest information, (unless they opened last night?).

thanks, it's my understanding that the CC FO will open mid or late march. but if they are open tonight...WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!

I read about it in the LA Times yesterday -- I thought it said they had opened but I could totally have miss-read :-)

You did. The report said they'll open "in March" The phones aren't on yet. I doubt March is real, as all the other openings have come and gone.

ixnay the FO woohoo. i can't eat red meat till 3/24 anayways. boo!

        2. Vinum Populi serves (surprisingly good) food until midnight. However, it's about the same distance as Fraiche and I'd definitely pick Fraiche over Vinum if you already have the reservation.

thanks hrhboo. if we get the "tude" that some ch'ers have mentioned at fraiche, we can walk over to vinum. ;-)

I've heard of the 'tude at Fraiche but never encountered it over several visits. Hopefully you'll be fine!

          2. too bad you are missing Beacon, it's fantastic. luckily you will miss La Dijonaise, because it is pedestrian and i would not consider worth your time. have you looked into Brunello Tratorria just west of La Cienega on Washington? i ate there once when it first opened and it was very quaint and the handmade raviolis were quite nice. Wilson is open late, but i think it's way over-priced and everything is over-salted.

            1. The new restaurant Akasha is open, even though I think it's a little far to walk. They are open for dinner until 11:00 (and according to Open Table have 10 and 10:15 reservations available tonight), and it looks like the bar stays open late. The reviews I've read have been positive.
