Monocacy Crossing

We are going there tomorrow night. Has anyone been? What do you recommend?

  1. My favorite restaurant in Frederick County!

The scallops appetizer is delicious (good bread too). They almost always have a fish special so check that out. The pork tenderloin is good and my husband always enjoys the steaks. I'm allergic to crab so I can't speak personally, but my parents loved their crab cakes. I'm not sure if they've changed their menu recently so check their website,

    1. This is a wonderful restaurant! Try the homemade apple crisp for dessert. It is to die for! Enjoy!

      1. They are one of my favorite restaurants. I hope you see this before you go, but you MUST have thier coconut pound cake.. it's to die for.

Thier lobster filled ravioli is by far my favorite.

        1. Thanks for all the information! We really enjoyed our meal. I had the crabcakes and my husband tried the NY strip. Both were good, but he said he would try something else next time. We did share the apple crisp for dessert, which was messy but delicious! We'll definitely go back.

I also recommend The Tasting Room at 2nd and N. Market Street as a Frederick standout. The locally-raised beef is excellent, as are the crab cakes. At Monocacy Crossing, the eggplant timbale is very good.

Yup, the Tasting Room is our usual Frederick restaurant spot, but we figured we'd try something new this time. I've never tried their crab cakes though, so I"ll have to try them next time we go
