Classy birthday cake?

There's a family birthday on the weekend, and I'm in charge of bringing the cake. The family isn't into really sweet or decadent desserts (no rich chocolate here). No Dufflet's this time. But I still want it to be special. Can anyone recommend a bakery that would be particularly good for this? Thanks.

  1. Dessert Trends on Harbord offers very fancy fruit "cake" platters as an alternative. They would also be open to hearing your custom needs for a less decadent cake. This is their website for reference -

Their cakes look beautiful. I hope they taste as good, too.

Second endorsement for Dessert Trends. Gorgeous and tasty.

      2. I really like going to Sen5es! I bought the white chocolate raspberry mousse for valentine's day and it was just the right amount of sweetness. they have fruity types of cakes too so i would give them a try. mmmm!
