Viking deli & smokehouse
Went to it the other day, it's on Laird drive in Leaside. Was a little disapointed at the small amount of "stuff" they have on offer, but what they had was prettty impressive. Haven't tried Kristapsons smoked salmon to compare it, but Viking's is luscious with a good level of smoke. The boneless ham (sandwich meat) was just superd in my opinion. And these smaller, dried sausages were simply delicious, and I've become addicted to them. The consistent theme is good level of smoke, without being overpowering.
Anyone else have anything to share about the place? The smoked chicken is supposed to be good.

Yes, they do all their own smoking. Excellent bacon, too. I highly recommend the jam doughnuts, as well, and the crusty rye bread, if you like that kind of thing.
