Philadelphia Dessert help

chow79 Mar 6, 2008 11:12 AM

I will be in Philadelphia this weekend for a Baptism and need to find an excellent dessert for 20 people. Any suggestions including the best local bakeries/pastry shops would be greatly appreciated.

My personal favorite would be pastries from The Pink Rose.

The best is Varallo's which is on 10th Street. Everything is wonderful and it hasn't changed in years and years. Everything at Pink Rose looks better than it tastes.

Termini Brothers! I got a hazelnut chocolate cake there last weekend. It was aMAZing! Very rich, so small slices with some vanilla ice cream were perfect. www.termini.com

Dessert and the classic south philly debate - Termini's or Isgro's!

They're both really good, but for me the bad attitude of the jerks at Isgro's is reason enough to go to Termini's instead, where they are much friendlier.
