Kew Gardens, Queens Health Food Restaurant
Just learned about a great health food store like Health Nuts, but with a full restaurant in Kew Gardens. Unfortunately, the person sharing the information could not remember the name. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!
Linda's organic? It's just got a counter area to sit, and I personally think the place is pretty grungy and the food is not very inventive, in terms of vegan stuff that I make myself or had elsewhere.

my husband's been there a couple times trying to give them a chance, and he can't figure out what is going on there...their menu is pathetic and they look like spent a fortune to fix the place up. He had a panini with veggies, and feta which was nothing much, and on some dreaded whole wheat bread (the only bread they offer--), and he had to beg for the feta because they are pretty vegan on a lot of stuff...then he went back and had some stir fried broccoli with some kind of rice he couldn't identify ---prices were cheap, portions small, and he left hungry twice and went and had pizza afterwards..he was hoping for a tasty healthy option nearby instead of making a dash over to Flushing from Forest Hills for lunch....but the place is just too lame and boring for him...too bad...he says the space is great, but they seriously need to revamp their menu---

You are thinking of Linda's Organic Kitchen on Lefferts Blvd. near Austin Street. They have a deli counter and the food is okay, but definitely not a full, grand restaurant experience. I would suggest Annam Brahma for a great vegetarian restaurant. It is near 164th and Hillside Ave...just a mellow, well-run, delicious vegetarian option.

An even better place for good all organic, veg food is the Queens health Eporium on the LIE service road (Horace Harding Epswy) west bound side near parsons blvd. Exit LIE west bound @ Kissena Blvd go one blk on right. Great food but it is a get and go place.

Actually, I think you might be looking for Quantum Leap Natural Foods. It's on Fresh Meadows Lane, right off of Utopia. It's really a fantastic place -- they have a store and a full sit down restaurant. Lots of Asian inspired dishes as well as lots of Mexican food. They always have a casserole of the day, and it is almost always amazing. Good brunch as well.
