I wouldn't recommend k'ya only b/c of my hit or miss experience there.

But big thumbs up for Napa Rose!

      2. Citrus City Grille in Orange. It's been ages since I've been there, but supposed to still be good. If you want to go for drinks afterward and it's a clear night, the patio outside at Orange Hill Restaurant is nice and has a good view of "city lights." Never eaten there, but used to get fancied up in college and go for drinks late. Mr. Stox is average on food and predictable, but has very large wine list, if that's important too ... also very good souffle. And what would be very good is Cafe Francais, but not sure if it's even still there. Was on Meats in Orange, but I don't know if the married couple who owned it ever did get their divorce. Last time we went, the wife had moved back to France.

          1. You might consider driving up Harbor Blvd & going to the Cellar. It's not a destination restaurant (IMO), but they do have a great wine list (almost as good as Napa Rose). Unlike NR, though, the Cellar's atmosphere is quiet & intimate and conducive to conversation.
