Where can I find espresso chips?

I want to make some espresso chip brownies for DH. Last time, I made them with chocolate covered coffee beans. They weren't what I was looking for. He found the coffee flavor a bit overwhelming. I'm looking for chunks of chocolate that taste predominantly like coffee. Does this product even exist?

  1. A company called Tropical Source makes espresso chococolate chips. I found them upstairs at the UWS Fairway, but that was a couple of years ago. I haven't looked for them recently and don't know whether or not they still carry them.

    1. If you're willing to order on line, check out King Arthur Flour Co. They have various flavored chips.

I just looked at the Web site of Economy Candy, which I was not familiar with. It looks like they have some good stuff. Good prices on dried fruit. But I don't see anything like espresso chips. I checked King Arthur and they have cappuccino chips.

Thanks guys. I did look at the King Arthur site, I didn't find anything under coffee or espresso. I'll try the cappucino chips, but am really looking for something a bit more intense.

And I'll check out Fairway as well.

The espresso chips I bought at Fairway weren't particularly intense. I made the CI choc chip cookies with them instead of my usual Callebaut pastilles and I don't think anyone noticed the difference. I noticed, but what I noticed mostly was that the chocolate wasn't as good. You might be better off with King Arthur.

        2. Good question! I used to be able to buy Tropical Source at Fairway, Whole Foods or any of the local health food stores, but alas they seemed to have disappeared from the shelves. If anyone finds them let me know!
