Wine shop near Garden City?

Need a good wine shop in or near GC. Nice place, good selection! Wasn't overly impressed with the selecetion at Costco last time I was there. Running out at lunch, but willing to drive 10 or 15 min to get a good place.

  1. I like the Garden City wine shop on Seventh St., in the Village, (between Franklin and Hilton)

Very fair prices (I think) and a good selection, a good old-fashioned small business, with nice owner and staff...what a concept, right?

They definitely have good stuff and it seems that they would have no problem special ordering stuff, if need be.
Pops in Island Park is still the big bull goose in Nassau County, and they still have free delivery in the NY metro area.

Love Pops. Great price and selection. When the 30% off post card arrives, I'm there stocking up.

Thanks! GC wines is good, but Pops is what I was looking for. I cannot wait to take a trip out there!

If you want a place a little closer to GC, try Raeder's on Willis Ave. in Albertson. The owner actually lives in GC. They have a great selection, and are very knowledgeable about wines. Depending on where you live in GC, it should only be about 10 minutes to get there.

I like the place on 7th. Nice selection, mix of high and low end. LI wine section, too.

Anyone been to the place in the Country Glen Center on Old Country Rd?

            Where on OCR is that?

Also, I've never asked but will the place on 7th order wine for you? I really like the Pellegrini Chardonnay (the only one I will drink) but they don't have it, although they do stock other wines from them. I usually just go to the vineyard when I hit up the outlets, but that's usually only once a year and never in the summer because it's such a zoo out there.

typical tanqueray, beefeater, absolut, and dewars place.
