Interesting Food Delivery to Leslieville
Since I am temporarily, (I hope) mostly confined to home I need some good suggestions for delivery other than the usual suspects: Chinese, chicken and pizza. Any other ideas for food that delivers to my area?

I know you said no pizza, but I do recommend Lil' Baci. Besides their pizzas (which are very good, same style as Terroni) their antipasti are often very tasty, and you can order them either individually or in combos (roasted veg, various salumi, olives, marinated veg, etc.). A number of their salads are good as well.
A couple pieces of advice:
* If you do order a salad for takeout or delivery from them, ask for the dressing on the side; their house salad has a lot of baby arugula in it, and it doesn't stand up well to being dressed, then sitting in a container for a half-hour. Ditto for the pizza with fresh arugula on top (they'll put in in a separate container if you ask). I must sound obsessive-compulsive about wilted greens, but really, I'm not ;-)
* Don't bother ordering the cheeses as a part of the takeout antipasti menu: for the price and the amount you get you're much better off going to the Leslieville Cheese Market and buying your own (heck, even paying someone to if you can't get out of the house!).

I hope others come through for you, as I've lived in this area for a long time and there isn't much.
Timothy's (Indian) on Parliament is pretty good. BBQ Hut on Gerrard claims to deliver, but somehow never could when I've called. In any case, I think Timothy's food is generally better. 786 Halal (quite good) also claims to deliver, but mostly doesn't. Makkah on Danforth delivers. I dislike it - other Hounds disagree.
Dangerous Dan's delivers, though they are often very slow. We find most of their food revolting, but the baked beef ribs in BBQ sauce with mashed potatoes (they are from foodservice, but seem to be real potato) are good comfort food, if awfully sweet.
Buppah Thai on Queen has delivered pretty good (sometimes excellent) Thai food over many years. However, there have been some terrible reports recently. It may be worth trying at least once.
Akida in the Beach drops flyers indicating an extensive delivery menu. However, we haven't tried their food yet.
Several Greek places deliver, including Omonia and Friendly Greek. We don't much like the food at any of these places, but they are available options.
The Fireplace/Thai Jasmine on Jarvis offers a vast selection of Chinese and Thai food. (You can order from both places on the same delivery). The Chinese dishes available go way beyond the typical delivery options. Unfortunately, your chances of getting a really good meal are not good.

re: badbhoy
We've had some good deliveries from Silk Road at Danforth and Broadview. Always fresh ingredients. They do a really good spicy chinese sausage and greens dish. Name escapes me at the moment but if you want it let me know and I will track down the menu for you. With all this snow you're not missing much outside but I hope your situation improves. Best of luck leslieville.

re: embee
I stopped by Buppha Thai one day for some takeout on the way home, and it was *the* worst Thai meal I've ever had. I was amazed, given that this restaurant was originally established, I believe, by Wandee Young.
I agree that unfortunately, Leslieville is a bit lacking in delivery options. Quite a few people here don't like it, but Seabreeze is my delivery staple in the neighbourhood. If you know what to order, you can get a healthy, great meal from them for a very reasonable price. They also tend to get it cooked and driven over to me in less than 20 minutes.
La Grotta delivers, too. They're self-proclaimed as a pizzeria, which the OP said he/she didn't want, but they have a lot of tasty Canadian-Italian dishes (no authenticity here, but still good food). I particularly like their lasagna and bruschetta. Here's a link to their website, as it's difficult to find via search engines:
http://www.lagrottapizzeria.caAki Da was good the first couple times I ordered delivery from them, but the last three times were awful, which is unacceptable given the fairly high price. I wouldn't get food from them again.
Siddhartha and Rashnaa deliver, too, if you have a hankering for Indian or Sri Lankan, and they're both decent.

re: vorpal
Your experience must have been different from mine...siddhartha ranks as my worst Indian takeout experience. There was a weird taste to the butter chicken and the lamb vindaloo i ordered had a too-tomatoey sauce, bad meat/potatoes ratio and the meat itself was a little tough. I had high hopes.

re: grandgourmand
Hmmm... it could possibly be because I never order vindaloo dishes or butter chicken; perhaps they do these dishes badly?
Also, when did you order from them? There was a period where they were terrible during last year, but they've climbed back up to their former glory in my opinion.

re: embee
We use Fireplace/Thai Jsamine about six times a year for delivery. Ironically, the more ambitious (AKA spicy) your order, the better it's likely to be. Order Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls and you get what you deserve, but things like the Orange Beef are actually pretty good. Service, we've found, is always within the time they promise, usually less and the food arrives hot to Riverdale.

re: rsvp7777
Thank you all for your reccomendations, there were a few there that I didn't know about, but will now try. To clarify, I said no pizza and Chinese because I've all ready done those to death!! Seabreeze I go to all the time, and I order pizza from Bona Pizza,so I was looking for a change from the usual. Speaking of which, I notice Pizza Bona has other dishes on their menu, has any body ordered something they would recommend? If not I will definitely try La grotta. I didn't know Siddhartha delivered so thats another suggestion. One can only ask your friends for so much, and I'm trying not to abuse them. (well, not this way, at least!) Thanks again

re: Leslieville
As an alternate to Buppha Thai there's a place a little closer to you that in my experience has prompt delivery by neat and tidy drivers and the food is good too. Mengrai Thai.
http://www.mengraithai.com/Didn't Sushi Marche say they were going to offer delivery by now? Worth a call to find out.

re: embee
I totally hear you about Makkah. Went there based on great reviews some years ago. The curry tasted like regular beef stew with a ton of pepper in it, no great flavours. The nan was nice, but had some gritty bits on it and I got an eyelash on mine (yay!) not to mention the place was dirty. Won't go back.

re: tracey
Kubo's been delivering for ages, but my last delivery experience with them was horrible in every way, and I wouldn't order from them ever again:
