Dining near Delta King/Sac

I'll be at a conference at the Delta King this week and would like restaurant recommendations within 5-10 miles of the conference for dinner.

Any tapas, small plates or cuban nearby? I also love middle eastern, Mediterranean, Mexican and Italian. If the bill can stay about $40 for one person, that would be great.

Many thanks!

For Tapas try either Aoli or Tapa the World. I prefer Tapas for the beer selection and the outdoor seating on the sidewalk. Aoli has a nice secluded patio.

There is also a new palce I found in doing a search that I have not been to or even heard of, but I will try it soon http://www.yelp.com/biz/cervantes-tap....

For Italiana you cannot beat Biba. Fine dining. Seasonal menu, always rated among the best of Sacramento's restaurants.

People rave on Lucca, but I have not been so I cannot give you a personal recco.

For mexican, Tres Hermanas on J St. Traditonal mexican cooking.
For more upscale try Zocalo at 19th and Capitol. More adventuresome in the preparation and recipes than most places.

Lucca is great. Be sure to get the zucchini chips.

Old Sacramento does not have very many good restaurants, although there are a few good small places right near the Delta King with Mediterranean (Happy Pita Cafe) and Indonesian food (Indo Cafe).

I second Tres Hermanas for Mexican, especially now that the outside seating is bearable. Spataro is pretty nice and close for Italian - not as good as Biba, but much cheaper - and their Happy Hour specials are excellent. Bennyboy1's recommendations are solid as usual, but I wish we had a good Middle Eastern restaurant in the grid.

Lucca may be a good bet, but my last meal there was disappointing. Chicken risotto with smoked mozzarella, mushrooms, and pumpkin seeds sounded good, but the execution was boring. However, the Warm Bananas in Phyllo Dough dessert was magnificant. Everyone liked the special and Prawn Linguini though.

Don't forget 4th Street Grill, within walking distance to the Delta King.
