Anyone been to the new Burger Shoppe in the Financial District? Thinking about meeting some friends there for dinner and was wondering what it's like. Are the burgers big? 4 oz. minis? How are the bar snacks?

Neither of us will have eaten much all day, so appetites will be pretty healthy.

Just ate a take-out lunch. Mini-burger with bacon and cheese plus fries $12. Ouch. Burger was tasty but really dry. Killed and no juice at all. Fries were fresh cut but really salty. Like a salt lick.

Even with it being the middle of lunch rush, I was pretty dissapointed.

Terrible place. Very unremarkable burger and fries and faux vintage decor. I went after work when it was empty, the manager left while I was there and the staff proceeded to turn the place into a parody of a bad dance club. The loudest music I've ever heard and they all sat on the counters, some of them dancing, and stared at me waiting for me to leave while I ate...so uncomfortable.

Just ate their today for lunch. The onion rings were pretty good (very crispy!) and I loved the Guiness milk shake (yes, they use real Guiness beer). The burger however, was terrible. While it was well flavored, it was like eating a well flavored hockey puck. They serve up juicier burgers at McDonald's. The burgers are pretty small (4 oz.) and just aren't that good. $4 for an overcooked hockey puck... I don't think so. First time, last time. :-(
