Help! Need bulgogi beef tonight!

So I committed to making bulgogi for three really hungry, bulgogi-as-manna-loving guys. And completely forgot about it until now, when one of them threatened to break something dear to me if I didn't come through. My Rupert (chef's knife) is away getting sharpened so I can't do it myself, and I need paper-thin or shaved ribeye tonight. All the sliced beef I see at the markets are too thick. I don't know much about supermarkets, but would Costco's meat people be willing to shave some? Whole Foods (last resort)?

I prefer to stay in the Arlington, Alexandria area... Thanks so much!

I'm pretty sure Giant will slice their meat for you however you want them to. We'll regualr bring a package and have thme grind it or cube it or cut into into whatever we're maknig for dinner.

This is a much nicer store than the Grandmarts at Little River Turnpike or 7 Corners. And yes, they'll have your meat. They also have a small in-store cooked food section, where you can pick up some banchan to go with your dinner.

Saw some at Trader Joes, just have to cook already marinated and sliced. Not sure how authentic.

Thanks, but I'm looking just for the thinly sliced beef, not pre-marinated.

Oh, then the H Marts and GrandMarts will have it. Also, though it's a Chinese grocery, Great Wall in Merrifield has very thinly sliced beef.

Is the TJ stuff the one labled bulgoki with the other meats in the fridge section? In the clear plastic? I've always been curious, but didn't know it was sliced. They also have thinly sliced plain beef for cheesesteaks, etc, but you'd have to add your own marinade.

Super H Mart in Fairfax has it already sliced and marinated. Probably H Mart in Merrifield is closer for you and they probably have it as well...

Your local Grandmarts will also have it--locations at 7 Corners, 395/Little River Turnpike intersection.
