The Spot Hermosa, To Go or Not to Go?

A friend suggested The Spot for lunch in Hermosa. I'm not anti veg but skeptical of such. Any opinions, advice, insights? Thanks for your help.

  1. I love the Spot. Their burritos are awesome (ask for the spicy green salsa if you like hot). Their bowls are great. I love the baked tofu. and I love the herb vinegerette salad dressing. But if you are not so into veggie, try the veggie burger. My must have beef every day hubbie enjoys them. And he tried my leftover soft tacos with veggie burger filling the other day and said he would go to the Spot any time I want b/c they were so good. That may be the item to order.

    1. I like it, but if you're a skeptic, this is probably not the place that's going to convert you. It's been around forever, and the menu hasn't changed much in forever either... it's kinda like 70s style hippie veg food. I think the Dear Bubba (collard greens, brown rice, pinto beans, salsa, and their signature savory tofu sauce) is delicious, but it might not be to everyone's liking.

I'd stay away from the mexican stuff mostly.

      1. I enjoyed The Spot when i went. I felt a little bad showing up late but the waitresses there were very accomodating and didnt rush us at all. The cute waitress there even gave me a free cookie(healthy cookie...i admit wasnt very tasty)!! Oh we even tried to tip well and she wouldnt even let me! I think i only attempted to tip like 25%(on a small bill of only like 25 bucks though).

          1. oh one more thing, it cash only and dont forget to feed the meters

I once worked with a guy, who was not vegetarian, and he loved it. He lived close by, so he went there all the time.
