The lamb burger is the best (and possibly only really good) entree on the lunch menu, IMO. Fish can be hit or miss (sometimes they overcook). The raw mezze are decent.

Here's the report. I had an incredible sense of deja vu from a meal I had a week or so ago at Esca. Started with the raw mezze. This is the Greek equivalent of Esca's crudo. However, the variety of fish and garnishes was much more interesting at Anthos-bass, yellowtail, tuna, fluke, cobia and fluke with grapes, yogurt, feta, etc., etc. Yummo. I snagged a snail from my friend's pasta appetizer which was fantastic. I also looked longingly at his lamb burger (next time). But my urchin, caviar, egg yolk, crab and lobster risotto was vaguely reminiscent of the chittara with crab and urchin at Esca. While Esca's was merely good, the psarokorizo (Greek risotto) was merely fantastic-the egg, uni, caviar, crab AND lobster all running together in the rice. And rather than having to look at Mario Batali and Willie Nelson (as I reported sighting and which was picked up by Eater's radar), I got to look at Donatella Arpaia!
