Best Brunch Atlanta - Party of four please

  • 9

This is will be our first time visiting ATL andI am looking for the best buffet style brunch in Atlanta. We plan on taking our mother to brunch for her Birthday so it has to be special, or we might even consider a really nice dinner. Do you guys have any good recommendations? Also, we are traveling with children and want it to be family friendly yet superb??? LOL!!! I am raising my kids to have a four star palate, so come on fellow foodies help me out here.

  1. A few thoughts

Table 1280 at the High Museum
    The Four Seasons

For buffet style those are the two that come to mind on a four star level

I was at Table 1280 for brunch two weeks ago and they don't have a buffet.

        Thanks for the update
I was there during the holidays and it was a buffet so good to know it has switched

    2. I lived in Hotlanta for several years and found Rays Killer Creek in Alpharetta (right off 400 on Mansell RD) to be about the best for excellent brunch buffet. Their sister restaurant Rays on the River is supposed to be good also but I would highly recommend Killer Creek. Also, the Renaissance at Galleria has a jazz brunch that is good but we still like Killer the best and they take reservations (you need too!).

      1. The Dining Room at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead
and not a buffet but Canoe has a really good brunch and you can't beat the view.
Have a great time and let us know how it turned out.

        1. I think one of the best brunches in atlanta is Chequers near Perimeter Mall. The buffet has everything from shrimp to eggs benedict, omelet station and for the kids...a chocolate fountain! They also have small "alcoves" that you can reserve off to the side. Large round table that makes it private for a small party.

          1. Watershed in Decatur. Cool atmosphere. Used to groups and kids. Make a res.

            1. Not a buffet, but JCT Kitchen (1198 Howell Mill Rd) is fabulous. More lunch than brunch, but the food is to-die and the atmosphere is special yet relaxed. Prices are reasonable and the menu is varied. Highly recommend!

              1. The best buffet brunch by far is the Ritz Carlton Buckhead from prime rib and rosted leg of lamb, filet mignon and all the gracious side and casseroles, to stone crab claws, shrimp, caviar, sushi, all kinds of pastries, cheeses and breads as well as omlette station, eggs benedict, bacon, sausage and the normal stuff though it is jazzed up quite a bit. It is pricey at about 60.00 per head for adults. My husband and I have been many times and there are always well behaved children there with no problems this a must for a special event. I have eaten at several of the brunches mentioned below and many more even though they might be a little less expensive they do not compare. Call ahead for a seating because it does get busy but not overcrowded. I believe the first sitting is around 11:00 or 11:30. Alcohol is served on Sunday but not until noon or 12:30. Go and indulge yourselves and enjoy it is well worth it. The other thing is once you sit down they never rush you. Stay as long as you like.
