My Topic Was Taken Down...
It's got nothing to do with finding chow or really, commenting on current ways to find out about finding chow. Topics about restaurants that aren't open yet are often off topic on chowhound, so it makes sense that the moderators wouldn't think speculation or discussion of a hypothetical tv network didn't fit in.
Yes, this is exactly right. Chowhound's goal is to help people sort through their myriad chow options to find the most delicious food available to them. The Food & Media News board is a bit more wide-ranging, but speculation about what might improve the food television scene and discussions of what kind of shows we'd like to see made doesn't hep anyone find great food television shows today, so they're off topic for our boards.
