  1. Musso & Frank. I had a wonderful experience there the first time I went. Go, if you can, to share the history, to perhaps feel a part of a passing culture.

Yes, the waiters can be gruff ... but I learned they are also careful to take care of you.
The first time I went was in 1980, just arriving from Michigan and Ohio. The wonderful waiter (who looked and acted as though he took no prisioners) was SO kind to me when I asked what would to him be a very silly food question. (It was about lamb chops).

I just like the place. I may be shot down but give it a thought when considering. It's at 6667 Hollywood Blvd. and I really enjoyed the food and ambiene. Also saw an actual "Movie Star".......... which left a visiting friend from Ohio gaga.

Personally, I say use the opportunity to go to Thai Town.
