La Brea Bakery slipping?

  • s

Based on a minute piece of evidence, I can't help thinking that in the months after the sale of the La Brea Bakery business, things may be changing for the worse at the original bakery outlet. Here is my evidence: when I bought a pound of cream cheese at La Brea Bakery recently I received not the light, slightly crumbly fresh cream cheese I've bought there in the past but a gum enhanced nasty sticky substance no better than Philadelphia brand. In any other area I've not observed a change, but I rarely shop there. Have you noticed any signs of decline?

I'll tell you this much: within the hour I'll be tucking into a La Brea orange danish. It will make me very very happy.

$2.75, you smartypantses, and more than worth whatever that amount would get you at Primo's or Stan's. Especially Primo's.

And I had an apple for lunch. You take me for a moneybags?
