I have been for both lunch and dinner now and both were fairly good, with dinner having a definite edge as it offers a much more extensive and interesting menu than lunch (a small number of salads and sandwiches but tasty). The food is pan-Med, with the dinner menu offering numerous small plates to choose from, as well as a few entrees. Prices are very reasonable (small plates about $5 - $12; larger ones mostly under $20). Service is friendly but still getting used to the place and its menu. It is a nice addition to the neighborhood but not worth a special trip, at least as yet.

re: PrettyPlaty
I know they were discussing having wine for the grand opening on March 1, 2008 but I do not know whether they obtained a license for any forms of alcohol. A check of the ABC website did not list Lido in either MDR or Venice (nor L.A., for that matter). Best bet is to call them: 310-577-3030. If not, Beechwood, where Abbott Kinney dead-ends at Washington, has a full bar and is a great place to celebrate. Good luck with the MPRE!
