So I just had the 99 cent pizza behind port authority and it got me thinking about other bargains that may be out there. Let's hear 'em all!

All of those 5 for a dollar dumpling joints in Chinatown. You also have 1.50 sesame pancakes there as well.

Those buns and pastries in Chinatown bakeries are quite cheap as well. You can be full for about 2 dollars.

Speaking of Chinatown, I was heading home this weekend (in a hurry) and I saw a sign on a food cart that said '12 for $1'

Unfortunately, I didnt go back and see what it was, but I figure that 12 of anything for $1 is a good bargain!

Wow, and considering that I don't even know exactly where it was (somehwere right by Noodletown), this post is probably not helpful at all! If anyone knows what I am talking about, please feel free to chime in.

Wow! The only thing I can think of is those egg cakes (they're pretty tiny). But I thought those were 20 for a $1.

To the OP -- I think there are more of those $1 pizza places around. I've also seen one on 43rd between Lex and 3rd and there are two around Port Authority.

yes, but personally the brooklyn location has much better pizza.

$2 hummus or $2.50 falafel sandwich at mamoun's.

Aw MAN Piece of Chicken is good. You can smell it from a block away. Head directly across the street to Rudy's Red for a $4.00 pint and a FREE HOT DOG.
