Kemble Park Tavern: Thoughts?

MarcDC Mar 3, 2008 08:20 AM

I just read the new issue of the Washingtonian and it raved about the burger at Kemble Park Tavern... has anyone been there that can attest to this?

Great neighborhood spot. Liked the the feel. Maybe I didn't order right (shrimp and grits), but I was a bit disapointed with my meal. Although my friend had the scallops and thought they were great! Not sure I would make the trip from far away but definately if I lived near by I would be there a good bit.

Agree. As far as atmosphere, it's one of the best---feels very english countryside. Didn't have the burger but the steak I ordered was great. Also, they're definitely not as expensive as most new restaurants opening here.

LOVE this restaurant. Definitely one of my new favorites. The ambience is so cozy and perfect for big group dinners, romantic dates, or casual bar sitting. While I have not had the burger I can attest to everything from simple mac and cheese side to the black sea bass in miso with bok choy. I have had turtle soup and simple sides and everything is scrumptious. Def worth stopping by,they have something for everyone.
