What's good to eat in the fashion district?
My sister is coming to visit and wants to go to the garment district. Any recommendations for a light, but delicious lunch? TIA

Tiara Cafe would probably be perfect for your needs. Or there are always bacon wrapped hot dogs from the street vendors!

Off the top of my head, within a reasonable proximity, there's the Santee food court, which actually has not-bad Indian and kebab places, Angelique, (French and, these days, getting REALLY mixed reviews) , Bar-B-Kosher, (Middle-Eastern and is actually kosher) Tiara (Fred Eric; further I saith not) , Wodden Spoon (Brazilian, sorta) , the Italian place next to it (the name of which escapes me help me out, hounds) various taquerias, of varying quality (the closest I've tried is Tacos Guererro, at 8th & Broadway, which is OK) and depending on where you are and when, at least one bacon-wrapped-hot-dog-guy. Anyone else wanna chime in here?

A Peruvian place named Saya got mentioned in a recent topic; don't know if this qualifies as 'light'. Of course I gotta plug St. Vincent Court for Persian, Lebanese, Greek and Armenian - my kind of light :-).
