cozy, unique dinner for 2; Lincoln Park < $50
Sorry, I didn't mean to be so vague — didn't even realize I left a "message." But yes, dinner for 2 around $50, no drinks. Last time I was visiting I went to Rose Angelis and it was great. I had the cheese stuffed tortellini with a gorgonzola cream sauce, walnuts and grapes. I really enjoyed it. I suppose I'm looking for a place similar.

I like Maza for a unique experience and easy-on-the-wallet option in that area. It is a small cozy storefront and serves a Maza deluxe entree which is 22 (yes, you read that right--22) hot and cold appetizers for $30--and that's for 2 people. Maza is a Lebanese/Middle Eastern restaurant, so you will get items like spinach pie, falafel, lamb sausage etc.
If you don't want to do the Maza deluxe, the other items on the menu range from $9-$17 (and that's $17 for filet mignon).
It is a cute place, but can get tight on the weekend since it is pretty small.
You could do "burger night" at Sweets & Savories. On Wednesdays they have their Kobe beef burger with truffle mayo and duck liver mousse for $10. One of the best deals in the city IMO. And a damn tasty burger.
