    Hi,
Did you see the great post on it last week by TheGolferBitch? If not, just search: American BBQ Rowley MA - Infomaniac was right. Some posters did mention their favorites.
    Good Luck.

There's been a couple of posts about this place, and I have yet to get a feel for the type of bbq they do. Most say they like it, but don't say why, and don't give any decent descriptions. Only one comment out of 10 or so gives a description of the quality of bbq - and that one said the pulled pork was juicy and smokey - a good start!!!.

Are the ribs dry rubbed, and really smoked - level of smoke flavor? Does the meat fall of the bone, or does it come off the bone easily when pulled? Is the pulled pork actually pulled, or is it chopped - sauce, no sauce, lightly sauced - with vinegar sauce or tomato based - again, level of smoke flavor? IMO Brisket is a true indicator if a place does bbq well - you really gotta know what you are doing in order to pull it off. Juicy? tender? does it pass the pull test or does it just fall apart?

These questions are not directed to you, but to everyone who reviews bbq.

American Barbecue is for real.....I tell by the Brisket too, so listen to me now and believe me later, you'll love it. Meat has a little bite to it on the ribs and does not fall off the bone. Everything is wood smoked which comes through in the Q just right for me. Really nice smoke flavor in the chicken. Pulled pork is pulled. I don't do sauce here and eat my ribs dry they're that good. Large selection of side dishes, southern greens, mashed sweet, mac & cheese, baked beans, all good. Very good bread pudding. I'm thankful to have them in the area.

Info is right, the place is real good, food doesn't need the sauce, but it's a personal taste thing. I skip the sauce also, great Q flavor.
