Chicken shawarma recipe?

Anyone have a good chicken shawarma recipe? Preferably one where I don't have to use the grill. Thanks!

Never even thought of making this at home, let us know how it turns out! For me, an essential part of this dish is that vertical spit the chicken is cooked on in a restaurant, so I'd be curious to hear how good this version is.
