Can anyone recommend a good breakfast place in the Philly Convention Center area?

Walk down the street to Reading Terminal Market... Dutch Eating place has great pancakes. Down Home Diner is ok for breakfast. Good pastries at several counters there as well.

Pancakes at the Dutch Eating Place (open Wednesday through Saturday) in Reading Terminal are the way to go. I'd pass on the Down Home Diner. Beiler's (next to the Dutch Eating Place in the Market) has great apple fritters and warm cinnamon buns, or you could get a soft pretzel hot from the oven at Fisher's in the Market.

We liked the creperie in RTM for breakfast. Old City for coffee, some baked goods from Metropolitan.

all those are good recs, unless you're going to be at the CC for the flower show. if so, worth trying to get a good breakfast somewhere a bit farther away. things get crazy. i'm never down there at breakfast, so that might be calmer, but i wouldn't count on it.

On Saturday RTM was ok for the first hour or so but by 9 AM got a little busy. The market opens at 8 AM so you should be good if you go on the early side...
