I've been eying this place for awhile, and I'll finally make the trip thanks to your recommendations.

dahl bhat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahl_baht - a staple eaten throughout Nepal, very basic and definitely the food of the masses, an absolute favourite of mine.

Interesting. I Googled it ( I was trying to avoid working) and then asked my son who has been to Nepal. He says he wouldn't exactly use the word soup when describing dahl baht. He says trekkers say they never want to see the stuff again but if you find some he'd be interested.

I have no idea what dahl baht is! But this is one of my favourite restaurants. They have wonderful food and, I believe, truly authentic.

I too have no clue what Dhal Bhat is, but I've been to Mt Everest a number of times and always have had a good meal, with excellent friendly service.
