Hey Hounds! Wondering if there are any good breakfast places near LAX. I'll be in the area on a Sunday morning so a place without a super long wait would be ideal. Thanks!

Dinah's on Sepulveda at Centinela has excellent deep dish pancakes (take about 20 minutes, though) but can have a bit of a wait on a Sunday. Pann's on La Tijera is another good choice.

at dinah's, i'll personally vouch for:
1) the baked german pancake
2) the baked apple pancake
3) the thin swedish pancakes served with lingonberry butter
and
4) the chile relleno omlette

The apple pancake at Dinah's is great, if you're into a high-sugar experience. It's almost like a giant apple fritter. The old-fasioned coffee shop atmosphere at Dinah's is also fun, if you're in the mood for that kind of thing.

Pann's on La Tierra & La Cienega. Pulp fiction was filmed there. Wait depends on what time you are there.
And the food "ROCKS" ! ! !

Pann's is a great place for breakfast, but the after church crowd can get pretty big there (and it wasn't the place that Pulp Fiction was filmed - although that myth does get repeated a lot) so if you need a quick turn around it may not be the best choice for this. It was actually filmed at the Hawthorne Grille, (originally Holly's), which was located at 13763 Hawthorne Blvd. and after the film was completed the restaurant was torn down.

The Coffee Company in Westchester has better food than either Dinah's or Pann's and is closer to LAX; however, there will be a line, because the food is good. Pann's also gets busy on Sunday mornings, too.
