Lone Pine CA suggestions

Planning a trip next month and passing through Lone Pine. Any suggestions on places for dinner and breakfast?
Thanks in advance,

  1. Man, I truly wish I could cite a good place for you to stop and eat. Along with Big Pine, Independence, and Bishop, Lone Pine is primarily a pass-through while en route to Mammoth. My mother in-law is a former resident of the area though. I'll give her a shout and find out if there are any suggestions. My guess, though, is the local fast food joint is going to be as good as any other option.

    1. Specifically Lone Pine? Will you be going as far north as Bishop or Lee Vining? Bishop has many more options, and Lee Vining has an amazing restaurant inside the Mobil Station - Whoa Nellie Deli - nothing like it sounds. There are posts on the board. The food is amazing.

The Whoa Nellie Deli in Lee Vining is outstanding, but note that it's closed in winter and doesn't reopen till the end of April.

      2. Alabama Hills resturant and the merry go round ONLY TWO PLACES TO EAT in Lone Pine

Seasons is head and shoulders above both of those.

        2. The local franchise of PIzza Factory is REALLY worth a stop. We plan to pass through at a time to eat a meal there, so I disagree that Lone Pine is hopeless. Specifically, their veggie pizza (or any type of pizza that includes lot sof veggies) is great. The veggies are pretty fresh, they don't overcook them, the pizza is hand-tossed and it is just wholesome. If you are hungry, there is no reason to pass this by (I also think it's a smidge better than it's bigger brother in Bishop).
