Hey all i'm looking for a place for dinner tonight. Any and all rec's would be welcome. I'm a bit of a health nut so the healthier the better. Some places i frequent in LA are, Musha not too healthy but......., M cafe de chaya, Votre Sante, Persian places "but not tonight..., Good Earth, Sushi places for sashimi. A great sushi rec would be wonderful but if there isn't anything spectacular down there i'd rather pass on sushi. Sushi places i like are Nozawa, Tama, Iroha. I ty not to eat rice, or white bread, butter or too much oil. Price doesn't matter.

Thanks

Restaurant Koi is actually in Seal Beach, but that is right next door. Great, fresh and often they have some fish that I don't find in most run of the mill sushi places.

We went to Koi it was excellent....... for some reason i thought it was going to be horrible. I think I was thinking of geisha house. It was excellent though the fish was SUPER fresh and very well prepared.

So glad that you enjoyed it. I have not heard of Geisha House, but from what you propose, maybe I don't want to know.

Tokyo Hibachi in Lakewood has very fresh sashimi. Love the tako, etc. If you were trying to be a little "unhealthy", I'd recommend the soft shell crab. Mmmmm....
