Has anyone tried CK Cafe in Arcadia ? It is in the corner of Baldwin Ave and Las Tunas Drive. I know they have another one in Monterey Park on Atlantic Ave. Any information is appreciated?

  1. I haven't tried, but I've heard that the food is spotty. When the chef from Chinatown or MP comes, it is good. But when the other chef is there, it is not so good.

    1. My parents tried it, on someone else's tab. They said they will eat it if it is free, otherwise there are plenty better restaurants to go to.

Thank you for the feeback, any suggestions in the vicinity of where CK is ? There are 13 of us, and it is on someone else's tab. We have been Chang's Garden.

If you are looking for an alternative, try Seafood Village which is just about 1/2 mile west of CK Cafe on Las Tunas.

Full House has good Cantonese cuisine and seafood
Chang's Garden would be the best northern Chinese food in the area
Seafood Village is another good option for Chui Chow cuisine

        2. Are you referring to HK Cafe, which is located next to Big Lots? If so, I'd skip it. The only good thing about it is the Cantonese BBQ that's located in the same building. The guy who does the roasting does a great job. But the rest of the food there is mediocre. If you want Hong Kong-style food, I'd recommend Tasty Garden on Baldwin (south of Duarte Rd.). Otherwise, I'd second ipsedixit's recommendation of Seafood Village.

HK Cafe became CK Cafe about 6 months to a year ago.
