Tivoli's in Malden

Hi, CHer's!
Haven't been here in a long time. Dying to return as I recall a wonderfully intimate and cozy place with fabulous food. Has anyone been lately and, if so, what did you order and what would you recommend? Thanks.

  1. I'm not sure how long its been since your last visit - we have not been in 6 months or so, and we are wayyyyyy overdue for a visit. At that time we loved the duck two ways, the pork chop, and the warm scallop salad (always fantastic). I remember a really really good pumpkin dessert too. I think it was a mousse or very light cheesecake with gingersnap crust. Homemade by the owner's wife and absolutely wonderful.

Please report back if you go!

    1. I haven't been for a while- but really enjoyed my meal. I got a scallop dish- with cream, and I think tarragon. It was so good. Not sure if it was on the menu, or was a special- but either way, I am sure they would be happy to prepare it.
Best to go on a weeknight, as the place is so small it must be crazy when it is busy. I have always gone on Tuesday or WEdnesday evenings. Thanks for th reminder, will have to add it my list of places to go. A friend an I try to get together every month or so, and she like this place as much as I do.

I know what you mean, macca. I love when someone mentions a place that I have completely forgotten about (could be the age!!), Recently, I saw a reminder for Doo Wop Diner in Malden Square. Now, that is right up my alley as I adore diners and the nostalgria associated with them.
My other favorite Malden place is the cookies at Cookies by Miss Jackie. Plan to send a basket to someone I want to thank. Whenever I post, you usually respond. Thanks so much!

Never tried Cookies by Miss Jackie- but love the steak tips at the Salem Street grill across the street. YOur posts usually hit me at a good time- we are welcoming a new neice or nephew into the family in MArch, and I think Cookies is just the thing- I am planning on cooking meals for the family when the baby comes home, but the two little ones already on the house will love the cookies!! Thanks- and I will have to try the Doo Wop DIner.
