Breakfast near Runyon Canyon (post hike)?

A few of us (4-5 people, no pooches...) are meeting to hike near Runyon Canyon (Vista just north of Hollywood Blvd) and then would like to eat breakfast.

Any good local recommendations for Sunday mid-morning?

There's nothing too too close to there.

Some options include:

To the east there's the 101 Diner on Franklin

South to Doughboys or Ammo on Highland

LuLu's down near La Brea & Beverly, or BLD just west of there.

West on Sunset to The Griddle or Jinky's or Mel's

Or you can do it right and head to Hungry Cat for a serious brunch.

Of course most of these will involve a good wait on a Sunday mid-morning. Hungry Cat and Ammo might take reservations, if you go that route.

Is the cafe on Beachwood Canyon Drive still there?

IIRC you are thinking of Village Coffee Shop on Beachwood?. At least a month ago looked still up and running. Wutzizname has given you a comprehensive run down of what is close, 101 is closer than Village has better food but "sceney" & crowded, it has been awhile though...
