Staying at Le Meridien in SF, where to eat?

Spur of the moment getaway with the honey. We will have a car but prefer to walk and get to know the area better.

Any suggestions on places to eat?

We've done Chinatown before and ate at Great Easter which was good. Of course had GGB and will definitely be back. Where else should we try?

Any particular places in North Beach or Embarcadero?

Any help would be appreciated.
