Me and a few buddies are staying at the Harrisburg Hilton Saturday night and are looking for good bar food walking / cab distance from the Hilton on 2nd and Market?

Any good ideas? It doesn't have to be bar food but we are pre-gaming before a bachelor party to access to copious amounts of alcohol is a necessity.

If you're in your 20s to early 30s, almost any 2nd Street restaurant will do, and they're all within walking distance of the Hilton. For somewhat better food, try El Sol on 3rd between Market and Chestnut, for Mexican food and great margaritas.

I would agree with the El Sol recommendation, even if you are in your 20s or early 30s, plus they make a fantastic cocktail that comes in a big clay bowl, made with grapefruit soda and fresh citrus.
Most bar food on second street is overpriced garbage, but the grandma slice at Palumbo's should provide a good base for your evening's activities.
For serious drinking, The Pep Grill is a dive on Walnut St with seriously cheap drinks and questionable hygiene.

I would suggest having cheap, crappy pizza delivered to your hotel room first. Follow that up with a silly amount of liquor and cheap beer. then proceed to the nearest bar, drink way too much, stumble about town for a bit...and finally return to the hotel for some scotch straight from the bottle.

You should also try Dunkin' Donuts for their great breakfast sandwiches the next morning. That's sure to ease any stomach pains you may have.
