Oleana for Saturday night--dressy? casual?

Hi everyone, I live in NYC but am coming up to Boston this weekend for apartment searching with my fiance (we are considering a move for work). We are meeting my Mom (who lives in MA) at Oleana at 6pm for dinner. We had this recommended to us by several people, and it appears that Chowhounders like this place, too!

My question is: how dressy is this place? We will be walking around all day exploring apartments and will probably be wearing nice jeans, boots....but a far cry from "fancy." We were not planning on going back to the hotel (in Boston), since our last two apartment appointments are in Cambridge...we thought it would be easiest to simply go to an early dinner with Mom, then head back to the hotel.

We do go out a lot to super fancy restaurants in NY and have gotten away with our jeans and boots, but it all depends on the "hipness" factor.
We are in our mid-30s, tech professionals and do have a tendency to be overly concernned with appearance. ;)

Will we feel out of place in Jeans?

Thanks so much!

That's the beauty of Oleana, to me - great food, a nice (if small) room, and no need to get gussied up . . . unless you want to. There is usually a range there but you will by no means be out of place in those jeans. Enjoy!

You'll be fine in nice jeans. The academic climate in Cambridge allows for a wide variety of attire at nice-ish restaurants.

P.S. Be sure to try a couple of the "pret-a-manger" pre-appetizers for the table.
