Ningbo finest cuisine
Hi there !
Just to point out one of the best address in Ningbo. I am talking about Lake House Restaurant. They are located in the magnificent area of the Moon Lake in Ningbo downtown.
They offer an exclusive mix of Western and Asian dishes prepared by Chefs who used to work for 5 star hotels. Their service is great with staff who can speak fluent English. We were there with 4 other expat guys and they were all delighted. Definitely a place not to be missed !

That's good to know if they ever build that Shanghai-Ningbo bridge, they've been talking about. Any news on that?

Hey Xiao Yang there is a good news !
The bridge is already built and will be open this summer !
That means we will save 2 hours in between Shanghai and Ningbo.

There is an outlying district of NingBo, CiCheng, that has very preserved Chinese houses.
One of the mansions, is being used as Zou Ma Lou restaurant.
The Ningbo food there is very good

CiCheng district is right by the highway from Shanghai to Ningbo.

The Lakehouse is great food for the price, nice clean, stylish place. The kind of place for a nice dinner for 2 or to celebrate valentines day.
For day to day fine western cuisine it has to be Randys Cafe Dodici right behind the sheraton you can order online and have the food delivered to home, office or the bar they have a menu online thats always changing http://www.cafedodici.com.cn/Menu_en.asp Sunday morning you will find all the westerners hanging out there trying to recover from a hangover and enjoying some good food.
Be warned it gets busy and you could be waiting a while, but damn its worth it, call ahead if your in a hurry!
