Foie Gras in Los Angeles

I'm looking to take my boyfriend out for his birthday and he has never had foie gras and has been wanting to try it for some time. Any recommendations of where to take him? I would prefer somewhere that serves it seared as opposed to in a terrine, or even somewhere that has multiple preparations available that also won't break the bank. Your advice is greatly appreciated, as always.

yes, so i'm a foie gras junkie, try:
    sona
    hatfields
    melisse
you might want to call first, as some places don't have it every night, enjoy!

If you're not opposed to a trip to OC, try the Cellar in Fullerton:

Romantic underground in a cave/cellar. We like to grab a seat at the bar and have the seared foie gras appetizer(different daily preparation) and a good dirty martini! Heaven!

When I introduced my boyfriend to foie gras, I took him to La Cachette which has three preparations available on their menu (including seared). The food was excellent and the restaurant very romantic!
