Looking For Carolina BBQ in LA

I am a California native but after some family moved to the Raleigh-Durham area I have become a Carolina BBQ addict and I need to find a fix out here. If you are familiar with Hog Heaven in Durham then you know exactly what I am looking for. I don't need the place to be pretty, have good service, or even pass a health inspection...I just want Carolina BBQ.

Can someone please show me the light?

I believe Uncle Andre's on Moorpark in Studio city is Carolina style BBQ.

Zeke's Smokehouse, Montrose. Carolina pulled pork. Very good. I see they have a location in Hollywood now.

The Oinkster in Eagle rock has on their menu a BBQ pulled Pork sandwich, described as, "Our pork is brined with soy and honey then slowly roasted and smoked.
It's a big deal with red cabbage slaw, caramelized onions and Carolina bbq sauce"

I'm familiar with Carolina BBQ (although not Hog Heaven). I have eaten at both of the above establishments and must tell you that neither one will satisfy your BBQ lust.

I have yet to find a place out here that will.

gdrace, there is this place on lincoln just south of venice in santa monica/venice area called baby blues bbq. They have very good barbecue, they claim to do it in multiple styles, carolina included, i can't confirm never having eaten carolina barbecue, but what I can say is that the ribs are delicious, the pulled pork needs a little help but the ribs....oooh and the sauce...check it out and i hope you find what you are looking for.

Tooth thanks for the reply. Carolina BBQ is a chopped or pulled pork that has a vinegar based sauce. If anyone knows where I can find this specifically. I plan on trying Baby Blues BBQ but would love to hear about others.
