i had heard about this place for some time and finally had a chance to try it. i only get to philly a few times a year, but this could get me there more often. i have had gelato in italy and the south of france and this stacks up just fine.is it always this good?
you are so right. summer brings on some crisp, tart flavors that will chill you to the bone in 100 degree heat (i know that's not a pleasant thought in the dead of winter but...)... two standouts for me are lemon/basil and lime/cilantro. LOVE these... they're enough to coax anyone out of the A/C and on down to center city!
Has anyone tried the Meyer lemon/Grey Goose flavor? They had it in pints at the Fair Foods Farm Stand this past week but I didn't get any. It is remarkably similar to a beverage I have been enjoying this meyer lemon season!
