Has anyone been there? Found the website but no prices. The food looks good, though.

  1. lots about this on STLtoday food message board as well as stlbites.com message board.
Haven't been there, but foodies are seeming to like it

    1. I went a few weeks ago and Loved It. Had the steak that comes with their homemade steak sauce and it was very similar to Peter Luger's in Brooklyn. Mmmmm. I have sent probably 10 people there and the ones who do NOT like it are not really "into" food as much as the others who looooved it so I am thinking either you love or hate it depending on how flexible you are with interpretations of standards. I am told to avoid the Ceasar salad. Beet salad rocks though. I also enjoyed the dark, cozy atmosphere - I thought it was sort of romantic and comfortable but still got you looking foward to whatever was ordered. We had great service, too.

Joe Bonwich gave it a very favorable reviewed in this morning's P-D. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/ente...

The steak or the steak sauce?

The sauce. Are you kidding? I WISH I could find that kind of steak here.

Well that's kind of what I was getting at. If it was the steak I was going to hold myself back because Luger's is, as you know, pretty much the bar with which all other's are judged.

We don't have a particularly good steakhouse in St. Louis in my opinion.
