Is there a source for good soft pretzels in the Boston/ Merrimack Valley area? I miss the ones in Pennsylvania...

  1. I used to live in Center City Philadelphia and still pine for the pretzels at Fisher's in Reading Terminal Market. I've never seen anything like them up here.

    1. Don't laugh at me, but my favorite soft pretzel substitute is a Salt Bagel from Rosenfeld's in Newton (not in Merrimack Valley but near Boston). If you don't find a good soft pretzel, hit up your local bagel shop for a salt bagel!

      1. Jacob Wirth has a soft pretzel basket with house made mustard. They go great with a nice Radeberger!

        1. Deep Ellum in Allston has a nice soft pretzel. They serve it with a beer-cheese sauce that is pretty tasty.

          1. The pretzel bread at Mariposa bakery isn't quite the same, but it's close, and good.

            1. I've had the pretzel from both Lower Depths and Deep Ellum....Lower Depths is the version I prefer. So delicious, filling, great pre-Fenway snack.

              1. If you wish to make and adventure out of it and expand slightly NorthWest of the Merrimack Valley, I would recommend German John's Bakery in Hillsborough.
