Monday Dinner before Radio City Show

cowgirlinthesand Feb 24, 2008 01:38 PM

Berkshire hound coming into Manhattan tomorrow for a concert, looking for a great joint for dinner - Chinese or Mexican is our first choice but we know we may not be in the right neighborhood for that. Maybe a not to be missed deli? Just please not too $$$!
We'll be on foot - so anywhere in that area is good.

Thanks so much! Chow on.

http://www.hellskitchen-nyc.com/ "Progressive Mexican" 9th and 47th street. We ate there once and thought it was quite good. It's a little sterile, atmosphere-wise.

You're just a few blocks from the Carnegie Deli (7th Ave near 54th).

Actually, there is a very good Chinese restaurant two blocks from the Music Hall. Wu Liang Ye, on 48th St., b/t 5th & 6th Avs., serves Szechuan cuisine. Menu on menupages.com.

Two Mexicans nearby that I haven't been to yet but have heard good things about:

      Toloache, on 50th, b/t B'way & 8th Av. - http://www.toloachenyc.com
      Zona Rosa, on 56th St., b/t 5th & 6th Avs. - http://www,zonarosarestaurant.com
