Sandwich steal in downtown Ann Arbor (MI)

Hi Hounds of Washtenaw . . . have gone a couple times to Copernicus Grocery in the South Main Market in Ann Arbor, run by a couple of charming Polish ladies of a certain age (but then I'm also of a certain age). They sell sandwiches for a mere $3.99, and they'll put whatever you want from their deli case on a oblong roll with mustard or mayo. There are some good meats and cheeses in there--I had smoked pork with a mild Polish cheese and tomato the other day. They also have soups--often beet soup or Polish dill pickle soup, both good and good for you. There are two tables and a stand-up counter, or you could take the sandwich back to work or to Wurster Park on the Old West Side. Just a good bargain to know about in an expensive town.

    Thanks for the lead, Jim.
Hopefully they're open on Saturdays during football season, since we pass it on the way both to and from every home game. I'll be checking it out for sure come this fall, if not sooner.

It's a strip of shops in the 600 block of South Main, between a gas station and a car wash, just south of the light at Main and Madison. There is a Brazilian shop in there too that has some interesting stuff, but AFAIK no ready-to-eat foods.
