Bistro Basalt -- Basalt, Colorado

Based on recommendations on this board, my wife and I decided to drive from Beaver Creek to Basalt for lunch yesterday. Glad we did. Although we didn't get to eat at our first choice, Cafe Bernard, we had an excellent lunch next door at Bistro Basalt. I really like the space. Sort of quirky with lots of room and the tables well-spaced. Our server was friendly and competent. We had the Bistro Burger, a large burger with thousand island dressing and blue cheese, along with lettuce, red onions, tomato and pickle. Really enjoyed it. We also had a caesar-like romaine lettuce salad with a generous portion of delicious beef tenderloin. Delicious.

So far we are liking the food in the Roaring Fork valley. We tried Restaurant Six89 in Carbondale last year and loved it. Now we can add Bistro Basalt to our list of good places to eat in that area.
